As a Publishing Associate and Website Designer & Manager at Brandeis University Press, I spearheaded the complete redesign of the Press’s website, improving its usability, visual appeal, functionality, and SEO. In addition, I design promotional materials such as pamphlets, leaflets, and branded tablecloths, as well as producing engaging book trailers that have been featured in publications like Shelf Awareness. Furthermore, I contribute to the team by advising on acquisitions in Gender Studies, Environmental and Coastal Studies, and Music.
Prior to my current role, I honed my skills during a two-year graduate internship with the Press, where I specialized in social media, email marketing, and publicity. I coordinated digital content for author events, ensured the website was regularly updated with fresh material, and help maintaining metadata for backlist and forthcoming titles. My work also involved (and still involves) preparing professional marketing assets using InDesign and Photoshop and providing logistical support for editorial and advisory board meetings.
