This piece, “Cloud of Unknowing,” is composed by Pablo V Cazares and centers “tradition of classical Western alchemy as a methodology” and Christian mysticism. It is based on “The Cloud of Unknowing, a 14th-century treatise on the impossibility of accessing God through the rational mind and the importance of contemplation.” In July 2026, I performed it alongside Pablo V Cazares, Margot St. Finch, and Alexa at Forecast Festival in Berlin.
Singing with Michaela Harrison and AYAH in “Whale Whispering Across the Black Atlantic,” a sing and talk event in September 2026 to bring important conversation on decolonization, and healing from the Middle Passage, in the aftermath of the transatlantic slave trade and the holocaust within resurgent fascism, racism, and specifically Anti-Blackness.
